The Founder Roast

  • 20 Minutes.
  • No Filters.
  • No Safe Founders.

Investors, employees, cash flow, failed ideas, pitch decks, LinkedIn gurus, sleepless nights and all the beautifully chaotic realities of building a company. A live comedy opening designed to get founders laughing, break the ice and leave the formalities at the door.

We roast the founder journey — not the people in the room.

2:30 PM – 3:00 PM Founder Roast session

The 20-minute live set takes place within this slot. Exact timing subject to final organiser confirmation.

The Expert Conversation · 3:00 – 3:30 PM

Real experience. Honest perspectives.

Less presentation. More conversation.

A candid, moderated 30-minute conversation with product-based brand experts and founders. For the November edition the focus is product and consumer D2C brands — the real decisions, mistakes and lessons behind building them.

Proposed conversation themes

  • Building a consumer brand from zero
  • Product-market fit and customer understanding
  • Pricing and positioning
  • D2C growth challenges
  • Customer retention and brand trust

The Product Circle · 4:15 – 5:15 PM

The Product Circle

Build. Present. Get challenged. Improve.

Constructive Destruction. Better Products.

Don’t come here to hear that your product is great. Come here to find out why it isn’t — yet.

A selected startup or product-based brand introduces its product, business model or customer proposition to the room. Participants then challenge the assumptions around it in a constructive, structured discussion.

The goal is not to destroy the founder or embarrass anyone. It is to uncover the weaknesses and opportunities that help the product get better — through useful criticism and specific observations, not negativity for its own sake.

  1. BuildBring a product, prototype or proposition you’re actively building.
  2. PresentIntroduce the product, business model or customer promise to the room.
  3. Get challengedThe circle questions the assumptions behind it — in a structured, constructive discussion.
  4. ImproveLeave with specific observations you can act on.

Pick a challenge area

Product weaknesses

What we’re assuming

“It already solves the problem well.”

The circle asks

Where does it fail on day 30 — not day 1?

What we can improve

Name the flaw customers would mention first, and fix it before adding anything new.

Customer experience

What we’re assuming

“Customers instantly understand how to use it.”

The circle asks

What happens between purchase and the first moment of value?

What we can improve

Map the journey from unboxing to repeat purchase and remove the friction points.

Pricing

What we’re assuming

“The price is fair because it covers our costs.”

The circle asks

What will a first-time buyer compare this price against?

What we can improve

Anchor price to perceived value and test it against the real alternatives.

Positioning

What we’re assuming

“Everyone could use this.”

The circle asks

Who would be most disappointed if this disappeared tomorrow?

What we can improve

Sharpen the story for the customer who needs it most.

Business model

What we’re assuming

“Margins will improve with scale.”

The circle asks

Which cost grows faster than revenue?

What we can improve

Stress-test unit economics before scaling spend.

Missing features

What we’re assuming

“The roadmap reflects what customers want.”

The circle asks

Which request keeps coming up that you haven’t built?

What we can improve

Separate must-haves from nice-to-haves using real customer signals.

Scalability

What we’re assuming

“What works for 100 orders will work for 10,000.”

The circle asks

What breaks first — supply, fulfilment or support?

What we can improve

Find the bottleneck now and plan for it before growth exposes it.

Market assumptions

What we’re assuming

“The market is big, so demand will follow.”

The circle asks

What evidence shows people will switch from what they use today?

What we can improve

Replace market-size optimism with proof of switching behaviour.

What would you change?

What we’re assuming

“The current version is the right one.”

The circle asks

If the room could change one thing, what would it be — and why?

What we can improve

Leave with a prioritised list of specific, actionable changes.

Illustrative questions — every session is shaped by the product on the table.

Questions

Before you take a seat.

Can’t find what you need? events@kattalyxlabs.com

What is The Legacy Circle?

A recurring founder-community experience by Kattalyx Labs Pvt. Ltd. Each edition combines candid founder conversations, a live comedy roast, interactive business games, product discovery and constructive criticism, and meaningful networking — built around shared experiences rather than formal introductions.

Who should attend the November edition?

The November edition is a Product & Consumer D2C Brands Special. It is designed for founders and entrepreneurs, product-based and consumer D2C brands, startup teams, product and business experts, creators, and anyone building in the consumer space.

What is The Founder Roast?

A live comedy opening about the realities of founder life — investors, cash flow, pitch decks, sleepless nights and more. It sits in the 2:30–3:00 PM slot, with the 20-minute live set taking place within that slot (exact timing subject to final confirmation). The humour is about the founder journey, not personal attacks on guests.

How does The Expert Conversation work?

It is a candid, moderated 30-minute conversation (3:00–3:30 PM) with product-based brand experts and founders, focused on consumer and D2C brand-building. Panel names are published on this page once confirmed.

What are The Legacy Games?

A 45-minute session (3:30–4:15 PM) of short, interactive challenges built around creativity, persuasion, strategic thinking, teamwork and decision-making. Possible formats include Sell the Impossible, Founder’s Quiz, Brain & Brawn Challenge and The Founder’s Dilemma; the final line-up is confirmed by the organising team.

What is the Product Circle’s “constructive destruction” format?

A selected startup or product-based brand introduces its product, business model or customer proposition, and the room challenges the assumptions behind it — product weaknesses, customer experience, pricing, positioning, business model, missing features, scalability and market assumptions. The aim is useful, specific feedback that helps the product improve, never to embarrass the founder.

How can a product-based brand apply to present?

Use the application form on this page and choose “Product Circle application”, or email the inquiry desk. For details about how presenting brands are selected, please contact the organising team. Go to the application form.

What are the ticket prices?

Standard Entry is ₹200 for one person. The Group / Brand Pass is ₹3,000 and covers 1–3 people on one pass. For any other ticket question, contact the inquiry desk.

Where and when is the November event?

Saturday, 21 November 2026, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM IST at Ofis Square. For directions, please contact the inquiry desk.

How can a brand, influencer or food partner get involved?

Choose the relevant option in the Partner with the circle section and send an enquiry, or write to the inquiry desk. There are pathways for consumer brands, influencers and creators, food partners and other event partnerships. See partnership pathways.

How do I contact the organising team?

Inquiry desk: events@kattalyxlabs.com, +91 9105300307. Support desk: support@kattalyxlabs.com, +91 8273515100. If someone is unreachable, any of these numbers can connect you with the right member of the organising team.

When will the next editions take place?

The Legacy Circle runs monthly. Upcoming dates: 19 Dec 2026 (One-Year Anniversary Edition); 30 Jan 2027; 27 Feb 2027; 27 Mar 2027; 24 Apr 2027; 29 May 2027; 26 Jun 2027; 31 Jul 2027; 28 Aug 2027. Venues and themes for these editions will be announced.

Your next great connection might start here.

Come for the conversations. Stay for the people. Leave with a circle worth being part of.
